About Us

When people look at our products they see fantasticly indulgent decorations and inclusions that burst with both flavour and texture. We recognise this too. But we also see decades of dedication and commitment to the craft of sugar boiling all expertly condensed into small pieces of exquisite fudge, toffee and honeycomb.

Everything we produce owes a debt to those who have gone before us, right back to our humble beginnings as J.L. Moyles (Liverpool) in 1915. It is our forebearers years of innovation and toil that has made us who we are today, and it is in that spirit we strive to honour their craftmanship and to build upon their legacy.

In the 1980's and 1990's most industry producers adopted large continuous process lines and abandoned traditional techniques in an attempt to cut costs and boost profits.


To achieve this they had to reformulate their recipes, usually this involved adding fats to make the products work on these new lines and also to lower the costs.
We refused to follow.


To maintain the integrity of our inclusions we set about designing and manufacturing our own processing equipment so that our customers could still purchase the quality they deserved at a reasonable price.


This deep technical understanding of artisan confectionery has served as the perfect springboard for many of our unique products that we constantly develop to meet our customers needs.
